Why does Form Filler allow JavaScript in their Form Filler program?

I will start by saying that this isn’t a new thing - we did this ~6 years ago. There were a number of reasons for not continuing with a Linux version of Reader at the time including (but not limited to). Fragmentation of processors & architectures Fragmentation of UX platforms (Gnome vs. KDE vs. …) Fragmentation of platform capabilities (or standard libraries) Community hatred of commercial (or non-OSS) solutions on the platform There is no question that the Linux desktop landscape has changed/collapsed since then, and it would not be such a burden to deliver a product there. HOWEVER, in the meantime, with PDF becoming a true open standard (ISO 32000–1.2008) around the same time, there have appeared some excellent PDF viewers for Linux so that there isn’t the same need as there once was. Let me turn the question back to you (and anyone else) - what would be the benefit to YOU for Form Filler to bring Reader back to the Linux desktop?

Fill out PDF: All You Need to Know

I realize this is a really tough ask, but here's my best shot: if you used Firefox/Thunderbird or a similar desktop email client in that time, then surely the developers of Filler for Linux would have to look at how they implemented the feature in their product, and maybe even put it into the next version. (And yes, the above is a “maybe;” I know for a fact Filler developers have said they would!) If you're not using such an application on your Linux desktop, then you're simply not using the best of everything. Since we first shipped Form Filler in late 2006/early 2007 on Windows, Mac and Linux, we have been receiving a tremendous amount of positive feedback, not just from customers but from other developers as well — including from some from Firefox, who have said they use Form Filler for their own development workflow! In addition.
