If I am a salaried employee and do trading in F&O which form should I fill in for my tax returns?
In case of a salaried employee doing trading transactions, the selection of ITR will depend on which option you are resorting to (you have to choose one) -A tax audit, orPresumptive provisions of the Income-tax Act.In case you are someone who has incurred losses (or your profit is less than 8% of your trading turnover) and wish to carry forward the business loss (F&O transactions are covered under the “business income/ loss” category) for future set off of profits, then you will necessarily need to get a tax audit done.If you are someone who doesn’t want to get a tax audit done, then you have to pay tax on “presumptive income” which is 8% of the turnover (“turnover” calculation is very technical for the purpose of trading transactions, hence it is necessary that you take professional help to not go wrong). Therefore, if tax audit applies, it is ITR 3. If presumptive provisions are opted then it is ITR - 4 (as per forms released for FY 2016–17 / AY 2017–18). Kindly note, the ITR numbering keeps changing every year. Hence you will need to check which form is applicable for the corresponding assessment year. For eg: for FY 2015–16 / AY 2016–17, if tax audit applies it will be ITR 4, if presumptive provisions are opted, then it is ITR 4S.If you are not a salaried employee and doing full time trading transactions, the above is subject to change. I have turned full time trader last year.Best regards,Aditiaditi.email@example.com.
I am filling a university form. I know s/o means 'son of' but what does r/o mean? Also, who has to sign under 'signature of deponent'?
I may be wrong but r/o should mostly mean "resident of" in this context. r/o can mean a lot of things like :-Reporting officer Registered office Role ofRequest offRemoval ofRule outhttp://acronyms.thefreedictionar...And a deponent is a person who makes a deposition under oath. Hence when they are asking for the "signature of the deponent" they are asking for your signature (by signing, you are assuring everything you have mentioned is true)http://www.thefreedictionary.com...All these words can be used in various contexts, each having a different meaning.Hope this answers helps :)
Which is your favourite Vishnu avatar?
My favourite is almighty Lord Narayan himself and so does his all full incarnation. ❤I'm mainly inclined towards :-maryada Purushotam RAMblissful KESHAVawesome NARSIMHAThese three are my personal fav.But still my most and most favourite Avatar is -NARSIMHA AVATAARAnd my reason is very simple -It is the only avataar in which all the disturbing elements of society like -Anti-hindu guysHindu bashersPseudo-liberals, Pseudo- feminists, Pseudo- secularsSo called Political parties and leaders. Some particular Students of famous institute like JNUThose People from *cough cough* peaceful communities who have so much problem with us.Hindu haters and etc etcCan't Raise any single question!!!As these so called reformers of society have very special problem with Ram and Krishn avtaar and also with lord vishnu too.But their bad luck, Narshimha avataar is quite simple and sober and it is instant Avtaar, it is almighty himself and these so called intellectuals can no more bash this incarnation.Of course I have other reasons also!He did a fully surprising badass entry !This is called goosebumps moment! He came out directly by breaking the pillar of the palace and too on just a single request of his little devotee PrahladIncreasing the belief that God is everywhere, he will come out definitely to save his devotee. He is ferocious and wrathful !Uff! Just look at him!See the anger, see the wrath, see his awesomeness. This is what happens when Narayan get angry. The whole world will have to pay for it.We hardly see Lord Vishnu in anger. He is amazingly highly powerfulHe killed that powerful demon Hiranyakashipu and too without using any single weapon, just by his bare hands. He torned that demon apart with only his powerful hands. Now this is called another badass moment.Hey! But he is not in wrath and warrior mode always, he is quite cute and calm also!Look how cute he is with his little devotee. How cute he is with kids especially!Oh! Lord Vishnu give me that hug also! I'm dying to receive your embrace father. ❤And he is extremely intelligentWho has thought that Narayan will find this coolest solution to the problem arisen by the powerful boon of Hiranyakashipu due To which no man, no other animal, no weapon, no place on Earth, not even day or night time can kill him.But Narayan has brilliant mind, he can outsmart even the oversmart one. ❤This is the main reason why I love Lord Vishnu. And Thank God! Thank God! And Thank God!Atleast here Goddess Lakshmi is not seated at feet !Finally now these so called Pseudo-feminists can't raise question like “hey! Why Lakshmi is always seen seated at the feet"And he got his mention in mahabharat also many times !Book 12: Santi Parva SECTION CCCXLIIIVasishtha cursed Hiranyakasipu, saying,--Since thou dismissest me and appointest another person as thy Hotri, this sacrifice of thine shall not be completed, and some Being the like of whom has not existed before will slay thee!--In consequence of this curse, Hiranyakasipu was slain by Vishnu in the form of a man-lion,https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin...Book 12: Santi Parva SECTION CCCXLI shall then slay the son of Diti, named Hiranyaksha, filled with pride of strength. Assuming the form then of a Man-lion (Narsingha), I shall, for benefiting the deities, slay Hiranyakasipu the son of Diti, who will be a great destroyer of sacrifices.https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin...Book 7: Drona Parva SECTION CXCIIThe form, O king, of Dhrishtadyumna at that time, when he sought to slay the son of Bharadwaja, resembled the form of Vishnu himself in days of yore when at the point of slaying Hiranyakasipu.https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin...So yup! This avataar is perfect in every single aspect.Oh! But no! Reformers of society will definitely find any fault in this incarnation also and will start bashing us.

What instigated the O-ring failure prior to the Challenger shuttle disaster?
Q: What instigated the O-ring failure prior to the Challenger shuttle disaster?Main engine throttle up.As Robert Frost described, the SRB segments were in less than pristine condition and cold weather deprived the o-rings resiliency, but the actual deterioration that led to failure began when the orbiter brought its engines to full power just prior to liftoff. It was not generally appreciated through much of the shuttle program just how great was the effect of the asymmetrical thrust. When the main engines throttled up for launch, the entire stack shifted over about a meter. This put enormous stress on the SRBs, still bolted to the pad. On the chilly morning of January 28, 1986, this stress was enough to open a momentary breach in an SRB inter-segment seal and permit a brief puff of exhaust gas to escape. The puff of smoke vanished, as mounting heat and pressure forced the o-ring into the gap, and that might have been that. The SRB operated normally, with nominal internal pressure, for nearly one minute. 56 seconds after launch, right as the shuttle reached max q, it passed through a strong wind shear that caused the booster to flex just as it had at liftoff, reopening the wound in that already abraded SRB seal.SRB pressure dropped as hot exhaust started leaking through the breach, enlarging it, and eating through the SRB and ET structure. In less than ten seconds, the plume had breached the hydrogen tank. Seconds later, the SRB attachment strut failed and the SRB rotated against the ET, causing it and then the shuttle to disintegrate.Without the wind shear, the shuttle likely would have made orbit normally. Without the blow past at launch, the wind shear likely would not have been a problem. Without the decision to launch in excessively cold conditions, the blow past at launch would not have occurred. Had the SRB been composed of all new segments, it likely would have withstood both the flexing at launch and during the wind shear.Engineering failures are almost always the result of a long string of contributing factors. That’s why you never ignore warning signs or rely on backups and redundancy to compensate for an unsafe condition. When you do so, you are playing Russian Roulette—often with other people’s lives.
What are some reasons that you, personally, would not want to visit or live in the United States?
I'm a US citizen who lives in US so I'm not sure if I'm qualified to answer but here is something that happened with me a few months back.I had a friend who recently moved to Toronto from India and he insisted I come see him as he was super homesick. So I decided I'll drive down to Canada, which is approximately 9 hrs from North NJ where I live. I took another friend with me so I have another driver. Two of us drove and crossed the Rainbow Bridge by the Niagara Falls and entered Canada. We stopped at Immigration check. Canadian Border Security officer verified our passports and asked us a couple basic questionsOfficer: where are you going?Me: Toronto Downtown (vague answer)Officer: who are you meeting?Me: A friendOfficer: how long will you stay?Me: Not sure but maximum a day.Officer: Welcome to CanadaWe reached Canada around Noon on Saturday. I met my friend and spent a day with him and at nite we decided to leave and drive back to USA.We drove and reached the US Border to re-enter our "Homeland". Nothing better than coming home.. Rite?.. Wrong!I got interviewed by the officer for over 25 mins.Officer: Where are you coming from?Me: TorontoOfficer: why did you go to Canada?Me: To meet a friendOfficer: Where do you live?Me: New JerseyOfficer: How long is the drive from NJ to Canada?Me: 9 hours or soOfficer: You drove 9 hours from NJ to come to Toronto to spend a few hours with your friend and go back?Me: Yes sir that's exactly how I planned it to beBy now he wasn't buying my answers and was suspicious..Officer: Turn the engine off, hand over the keys and open your trunkMe: OK!He goes through my trunk for 5 to 10 mins. Then checks inside the car, the back seats the floors, etcChecks everything. Goes back to his computer scans the shit out of it.Looks at me and my friend 5 times.Smiles 0 times.Frantically types on his keyboard.Comes out stares at my friends face, stares at her PassportOfficer: Mam put your hair back I need to see your face clearlyFriend: mmmkOfficer: Hand over your purse to me mamFriend: mmmmk..Opens her purse and goes through it. Finds her SSN card, Credit Cards, ATM card, DL and gets back on his computer and types the shit out again.Comes back and hands me the keys and says"WELCOME HOME!"I roll my eyes and started driving.See the point is that Canada which isn't even my country was more relaxed and welcoming. However, when I come back to my home I get questioned and searched for 25 mins as if I'm some drug dealer brining illegal substances inside the country. Now I get it, some of you will remind me that this how our brave officers protect our country. This is how we stop people from bringing stuff inside the country. Suspicion is justified blah blah..Listen if this is how we Americans are treated then I can only imagine what the rest of the world must be going through at various Port of Entry or Visa Consulates.God Bless America!
What was your parents' reaction when you told them you got selected into IIT or BITS Pilani?
Went to a cyber cafe, entered the roll no and out came the rank:2000+Which meant I was through into IIT, but not at the top branches. My father was waiting outside the cafe. I told him the rank.We reached home. Told my mother the rank. Dad burst into tears.I was like: WTF??Anyway, I saw that the atmosphere in the house had turned funereal. So I went to my room.In the afternoon I could hear my father and mother talking. Father was lamenting that the rank is bad and how I could have done better but screwd up. Mother was saying things supporting his lament. In particular there was one line my mother said which I still remember to this day “Se pila ku dekhile mo hada jale” (translation: My blood boils even at the sight of that boy)That was too much. I decided enough is enough. If after slogging for 3 years and getting in, I wasnt good enough for my parents, then maybe I should leave this house. After some time my dad left for some work. I told my mom that I am leaving the house. Initially she thought I am joking. But when I told her I heard everything and she realised I am not joking, she started sobbing, that how I misunderstood her and how I didnt understand her effort and sacrifice.By that time dad had come back and I told him everything I told mom. First he tried to justify everything he said, as to how he expected high rank and how I was misconstruing his angst and he was really happy and cheerful. But when he saw I was unconvinced, he got angry and told me that I can leave if I so want.By that time I had stopped being emotional and looked at the things in a rational way. I realised leaving is not going to serve any purpose and I will only destroy my career. I gave up the plan. But a bond had been broken between us that day.
How can I apply for a credit card?
1. Know your credit score :Knowing your credit score or an estimate of it is one thing — but you also need to know what your score means and whether it’s high enough to qualify you for a credit card. We recently looked at what constitutes a Good Score, and, according to credit expert John Ulzheimer, here’s how credit score ranges tend to stack up from top to bottom:A credit score of 760 or higher is considered excellent credit.A score between 701 and 759 is considered good credit.A score of 651 to 700 is considered fair credit (695 is the national average).Under 650 is considered poor credit. The higher your credit score, the more likely you are to get approved for a credit card. So is your score high enough? In 2013, only 39.1% of all applicants were approved for general purpose credit cards, according to a study by the Financial Bureau. However, 58.7% of Americans with “prime” credit scores — those in the 660 to 720 range — were approved, and 85.5% of applicants with “superprime” credit scores (720 or above) were approved. There are other variables that may determine whether you’re ultimately approved for a credit card or denied, but once you know your credit score you’ll have a better sense of your chances. And if your score is on the lower end of that spectrum, you’ll know it’s time to make some changes — paying down balances and paying bills on time — to get that number moving in the right direction before applying for a credit card.2. Check your actual credit report for free.In addition to your credit score, it can be helpful to get a copy of your actual credit report. Fortunately, you can get a free copy of your credit report from all three major credit reporting agencies – Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion – for free, once per year.If everything reported it is accurate, you have nothing to worry about. If you find a mistake, however, you should do what you can to have it fixed right away.3. Make all of your monthly payments on time.If you need to improve your credit before applying for a Reward Credit Card — or simply want to keep it in perfect shape for the long haul — paying all of your bills on time is the best and easiest way to do it. Conversely, missing a payment or paying your bills late can wreak havoc on your credit score in a hurry. You should avoid making late payments on any of your bills if you can.4. Pay down your debts.Another big factor in your credit score is your credit utilization. This term, utilization, is used to describe how much money you owe in relation to your credit limits. While utilizing some of your available credit is generally a good thing, running up too many large balances is frowned upon and reflects negatively on your credit score. Most experts suggest keeping your credit utilization below 30% — meaning, if your credit limit is $1,000, you shouldn’t carry a balance larger than $300. When you’ve used up more than 30% of your overall credit limit, it makes you appear riskier to lenders and can cause your credit score to drop. When you pay off debt and get your utilization below 30%, on the other hand, your credit score will have the best chance to surge — and it does so right away. So if your credit score is borderline, pay down any outstanding balances before applying for a credit card to give yourself the best chance of getting approved.5. Search for the right credit card offer. While you might be anxious to get any type of credit card, it’s important to take some time to search for the best offer and find one that suits your needs. If you want a credit card to consolidate your debt, for example, you can start by looking at Balance Transfer Credit Cards that will let you pay zero interest for a limited time. If you’d rather earn rewards, there are dozens of Great Rewards Credit Card to consider that offer everything from Cash Back to Airline miles.Once you find a card that seems like a good match for your spending habits, applying is as simple as filling out an application online, including your personal information and details about your income. Most credit card issuers will give you a response in minutes.Just remember that the best credit cards and offers generally go to those with good or excellent credit. If your credit needs some work, you might need to consider a different type of credit card to get started.6. Consider a secured credit card as your last resort. If your credit score isn’t high enough to qualify you for a traditional credit card, you should consider a secured credit card to get the ball rolling. Unlike unsecured credit cards that actually extend you a line of credit, secured cards offer credit that is tied to a cash deposit you put down. For example, many secured credit cards offer a $500 credit limit but require a $500 deposit to get started. While this may not seem beneficial at first, secured credit cards are often the only way for people with bad credit or no credit to raise their credit score.Once you begin using your secured card responsibly, paying it off each month, your credit score will improve, and you’ll typically be able to upgrade your card to an unsecured credit card and get your deposit back. If your credit score improves dramatically, you may even be able to qualify for a top rewards credit card after a stretch using a secured card. It really depends on your situation, your goals, and how much your score improves7. Use credit wisely and never give up.If you aren’t able to qualify for a credit card right now, the best thing you can do is give yourself some time. By using the credit you do have responsibly — paying utilities, car payments, and student loan bills on time, every time — you’ll put yourself in the best position to boost your score over time. And if you have bills in default, a lot of debt, or other negative marks on your credit report, you should focus on repairing that damage before you take on more credit anyway.Pay all of your bills on time, refuse new debts and pay down old ones, and monitor small changes in your credit report for signs of progress. Over time, your score will inevitably rise as long as you treat it with the respect it deserves.
